The Husband's Secret

Liane Moriarty

Review
The Husband's Secret is an absolute must read. It is both interesting and suspenseful. The book tells the story from three different perspectives - Cecilia, Rachel, and Tess. The book is about Cecilia who finds a letter written by her husband, John Paul, many years ago. The outside of the letter instructs Cecilia to only open it after John Paul's death. Cecelia opens the letter and soon finds out that the contents of the letter not only impact her and her family, but others including Rachel and Tess. The Husband's Secret would be an excellent book club read due to the many discussion points. For example, this book brings up the issue of what to do you do when you find out something about a person that completely differs from everything you have ever known about them as well as questions of ethics and morality.

From 1964 Manhattan socialite to 1914 pre-War Europe, this book smoothly transitions from one time period to the other with accuracy for both time periods. Finding out the secret life is one exciting page-turn to another. This would make an amazing movie. This has become another favorite author of mine.

Kiki Swinson is a riveting author who teeter-totters with the authority role is this sizzling Urban Romance. Between being a parole officer, and dating the still in the streets parolee which way will Ms. Maxine Shaw go. With the law or against them, and when the hard hitting street smart Seth's ex girlfriend hits the streets after doing jail time. The story takes an unforgettable twist. This is a must read. I have fell in love with Kiki Swinson.
